Work Hours/Shift:
Per Diem, Days. Few shifts a month. Can offer minimum of 2 shifts a month. 
 
You Will Be Responsible For:
  • Project a positive and helpful demeanor while working with patients, visitors and staff.
  • Uses hospital medical record computer system to access patient information.
  • Responsible for relaying accurate information to patients, visitors and staff.
  • Responsible for maintaining a welcoming environment in the Atrium entrance and waiting areas.
  • Display excellent communication skills – facilitate communication between visitors and health care staff.
  • Act as patient advocate, proactively greeting visitors upon entrance to Atrium.
  • Assist visitors, patients and staff when needed upon entering or leaving the building.
  • Communicate concerns to Supervisor and/or Director.
  • May be required to run reports and/or create spreadsheets.
  • Provide cross-coverage for other Guest Liaisons/Patient Ambassador as needed/requested.

Qualifications
What You Will Need:

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and familiarity with Access required.
  • Requires self-motivation, persistence and time management.  Maintains discretion and confidentiality in all contacts.  Mature judgment is required in dealing with new and unexpected situations as they arise.  Must demonstrate appropriate communication skills when dealing with all contacts.  Occasionally handles delicate, sensitive or confidential information.  Must be able to prioritize work assignments.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • High school Diploma or GED is required. 
  • Additional studies in healthcare administration, marketing or communications preferred or equivalent experience in customer service is also desirable.  
  • Three years customer service experience required, preferably in healthcare. 
Job Summary:

The Guest Liaison is responsible for providing excellent customer service in the main lobby of the hospital and throughout the entire patient experience.
