You will be responsible for:

GENERAL SUMMARY:

 
With leadership of the Director of Marketing, the Marketing Coordinator is responsible for helping develop and implement strategic marketing plans to help the hospital and affiliated physician practices meet volume and revenue goals.  Supports the execution of marketing plans while meeting budget parameters and provides return on investment metrics for programs.  This position works closely with graphic designers, photographers, videographers, digital media, media relations, community relations, service line teams, physicians, physician liaisons, nurses, administration and internal communications while reporting to the Director of Marketing.  Responsible for the administration and maintenance of the hospital’s websites and internet presence, including social and community awareness that promotes the hospital’s image in a positive and community-oriented way. Provides support to the hospital’s internal communication, media relations, and community events activities.  This includes support with evaluating, planning, and managing some hospital-based internal and external event programs.
 
 
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Supports strategic marketing plans for hospital and employed physician practices, including execution of advertising, community relations, special events, media, customer service and internal communications
  • Works closely with physician liaison and Director of Community Outreach to coordinate and execute growth strategies.
  • Collaborates with graphic designers, and oversees project assignment, workload and productivity. Ensures goals, target market, messaging and creative direction are aligned in execution.
  • Develops key messaging, design and provides direction on creative execution. 
  • Oversees the creation and production of marketing communication materials and facilitates necessary approvals on all materials. 
  • Ensures compliance on all marketing materials and internal initiatives
  • Develops key messaging, design and provides direction on creative execution. 
  • Responsible for the development of web and social media strategy and content
  • Responsible for supporting some event planning including: development of event vision, staffing, catering, venue, internal event team coordination, and ROI.
  • Develops and writes media submissions, ad copy, brochure copy, etc. as needed to match the Florida Hospital brand.
  • Maintains a strong working knowledge of competitors, technology and new physicians in market and communicates information to marketing leadership.
  • Represents organization at community events as needed or required.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications
What will you need?
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
  • Excellent verbal and written communications, strong presentation and organizational skills, and solid computer skills are required.   
  • Must have experience with branding, advertising, communications and digital platforms; self-starter with integrated marketing skill set.
  • Must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment, excel under tight deadlines and have strong experience with Microsoft Office, Word, PowerPoint, Excel. 
  • Strong project management experience with results-oriented focus.
  • Strong interpersonal skills; demonstrated team player, consensus builder and persuasive presenter who can work well with others using tact and diplomacy; consistently delivers high level of customer service to internal customers.
  • Ability to collaborate well with others is critical.  Must be able to work in a matrix organizational structure.
  • Must conduct themselves in a professional manner at all times; must be hard working and ethical. 
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS PREFERRED:
  • Experience with Adobe InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator strongly preferred.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
  • Three or more years of experience in strategic and integrated marketing communications that includes strategic marketing and planning, advertising and promotional plans, agency relationships and working with a creative development process.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Journalism, Communications, Business, Advertising, Healthcare Administration or related field.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:
  • Previous healthcare marketing experience is preferred

  • Demonstrates knowledge of role in the Life Safety Program and participates in Fire Drills as appropriate.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of role in Emergency Preparedness Program, participates in Disaster Drills as appropriate.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of role in the Medical Equipment Program and how to report malfunctioning equipment
  • Demonstrates knowledge of role in the Utility Systems Program and the department(s) response to utility failure.
  • Follows hospital and departmental Infection Control policies and procedures.
Participates in the Program for Improving Quality
  • Participates in Quality Improvement activities to improve processes and patient care.
  • Implements actions, as appropriate, recommended by Quality Improvement Teams and the hospital wide Quality Coordinating Council.
Is Knowledgeable and Complies with the Stated Institutional Activities and Expectations
  • Demonstrates effective communication skills with all team members, patients and families.
  • Maintains satisfactory participation and attendance at required and non-required meetings and staff development programs.
