Work Hours/Shift:

Full Time

 

You Will Be Responsible For:

•        Assesses and documents compliance with Joint Commission National Patient Safety Goals

•        Facilitates the Patient Safety Committee

•        Performs concurrent chart audits in key focus areas

•        Utilizes Cerner eQuality to abstract and enter core measure data

•        Prepares and presents summary reports to various physician committees

•        Serves as content expert for all patient safety initiatives

•        Coordinates annual safety culture assessment and assists leaders in formulating action plans

•        Assists with State, Joint Commission, HFAP and other regulatory surveys

Qualifications

What You Will Need:

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS PREFERRED:

•          Previous experience with State, Joint Commission and HFAP surveysDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED (Quality

•    Associate Degree in Nursing

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED (Physician Management):

•    Bachelor’s in healthcare-related field

•    Minimum of three years of clinical experience

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:

•                     Previous experience with State, Joint Commission and HFAP surveys

•                     Quality compliance experience

•                     BSN or Master’s degree in healthcare field

•                     Minimum of five years of clinical experience

LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION OR REGISTRATION REQUIRED (Quality):

•    Registered Nurse

 

LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION OR REGISTRATION REQUIRED (Physician Management):

•          RN or Respiratory Therapist license in the State of Kentucky

Job Summary:

The Clinic Patient Safety Officer is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing the organization’s Clinic Patient Safety Program.  The CPSO builds and maintains strong relationships with hospital personnel to effectively facilitate the Patient Safety Program.  Maintains knowledge of regulatory and other external agency requirements and recommendations related to the ongoing Patient Safety functions. Partners with facility leadership to promote a Just Culture environment and assist the Director of Quality Management in clinical, administrative and strategic oversight of facility processes for the provision of care, treatment and services. Supports implementation of best practices through data, metrics, observation/rounding, employee education and engagement.
