PRN / Days

You Will Be Responsible For:

•    Transports Huguley volunteers and employees safely to and from facilities for clinics in a timely manner

•    Ensures that proper maintenance of the mobile unit (bus) is maintained at all times.

•    Assists Community Outreach Manager in supervising clinics, volunteers and staff.

•    Assists nurse practitioner in patient exams, resource allocation, supplies and other needs.

•    Provides direct patient services following appropriate policies and procedures.

•    Obtains blood specimens accurately and quickly using proper technique with attention to patient care and safety and proper storage for delivery to hospital.

•    Responsible for delivery and pick up of blood samples to lab on time with accurate requisitions as needed.

•    Follows Infection Control guidelines when disposing of all blood specimens and used supplies.

•    Performs basic screening and COVID screening exams accurately and in a timely manner.

•    Explains test results and significance to patients as indicated.

•     Refers all questions unable to answer to appropriate resource.

•    Provides information and education to community according to the assessed needs.

•    Assist with CPR and First Aid courses as indicated by community needs and interest.


What You Will Need:

  • Registered Nurse (RN) license from respective state board
  • Valid State Drivers Licensure
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • Good interpersonal communication and presentation skills.
  • Experience in driving bus/large chassis vehicle.
  • Experience in Outreach Clinics and Community customer service preferred

Job Summary:

The Mobile Health Services Driver/Assistant is responsible for ensuring that Mobile Clinic outreach activities are accomplished in compliance with standards, and in an effective manner, while using good teamwork skills.  This position also provides direct services for Mobile Clinic patients. And ensures safe travel of equipment, Bus/Large chassis and staff to community locations.
